Family Crest gifts - any nice ones?

hi all,

I'd like to get a personalized present done for friends who just got married.
In particular, I would like to get both family crests done together.
However, I don't want your typical printed out pages in a frame.

Does anyone know if you can get them done say, on Slate or carved in to wood directly?
Or stained glass even?

I'd love to get them something unique but which is not tacky.

[broken link removed] a crest advertised as being printed on parchment which might be nicer than the standard printed ones.
