Family Courts or Higher Court (if possible)?

Are family law cases dealt with correctly in Ireland? Are you simply a number and just rushed through the system in the family courts.

If so - is it worth fighting the case in a higher court to be heard properly or should it be appealed to a higher court afterwards?

Love to hear from people on this.

@milamber

That is simply NOT true.
Where is your source?

Basically the Circuit Court and High Court have the same jurisdiction on Family Law cases.

What are you seeking?

@milamber

You need to give a few facts.

For example if you are a unmarried father - then you have little prospect of custody unless there are circumstances with the mother.

No facts cant even begin!

Hi

I am married.

I have a house - bought in 2001.
She has a heavily indebted apartment bought in 2004.
Her father prevented the sale of apartment in 2009 and now its massively in debt.
She lives in my house and is abusive to my kids.

What can I do?

Your question is too vague. Every case is different.

From your other posts, you have a lot of big issues that could not properly, or even superficially, be addressed on an internet site.

You need to talk to a solicitor who specialises in family law and can advise you on your specific circumstances.
