Family accommodation in Edinburgh??

Hi there, my wife and I last visited Edinburgh when there was just the two of us. Now there is a 3YO and a 5YO and we would like to return. Question is, has anyone any suggestions for good accommodation for us?? Plan on going early July for a week or so. We would like to bring the car.

I have been to edinburgh several times and always book an apartment you can get a daily rate last time we stayed in glen house apts lovely and central and good value much more freedom with little ones than hotel

I've just been checking out Edinburgh on Trip Advisor and the no. 1 hotel recommended is actually serviced apartments -
