Failed NCT - Query on who can fix problem

I have a Saab 9-3 1.9Tid and it failed the NCT recently.

The reason given was that the item 'Steering Linkage(43)' 'Inner Tie Rod end' was worn on nearside front and offside front.

I am not mechanically minded so was wondering if this was something that any mechanic could fix.

The person at the NCT centre said it was a small thing to change but as stated above, I have no clue.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Any competent mechanic can change these. You will need a wheel-alignment afterwards.

Thanks for that mathepac, I have to get a front tyre changed as well so I will get the above fixed by a mechanic & then ask the person who is putting on the new tyre to check the wheel alignment of both the front tyres.
