No, but we are flying out Monday to start the ridge route, so am interested to see if you got any replies! We are walking west to east, but I note lots of tours go the opposite way. I can't find out why. May be the easiest way to go up stungeii draculi ie up rather than down which we'll be doing.
Are you intending to walk by yourselves or with a guide? I was in touch originally with an ex Rumanian army office who has set up as a guide, he sounded good, but friends dropped out so we didn't have a viable party.
