Hi

Have American and British visitors over soon and they have been informed about these 2 restaurants. Never been to either and only heard of Fade Street. Has anyone eaten in either of them and what are your views, would you recommend it?

Cheers

Avenue is only very new so not many will have been there. Ate in Fade Street Social (the tapas part, not the main restaurant) and found it pretty good, buzzy atmosphere food mostly very good with a couple of dud dishes.

I'd prefer Delahunts on Camden Street or Vintage Kitchen on Poolbeg Street.

What's attracting your visitors to either?

One of the British visitors was recommended them but to me they seem very pretentious. I was recommended Rustic Stone also and also Delahunts but its up to them they are the visitors I am just the tour guide

Well I wouldn't say Fade Street is pretentious, maybe a bit trying too hard to be hip but it had a great buzz about it the night I was there. Super Miss Sue (downstairs) is similar.

Cheers they are leaning towards Fade Street and I am ok with it and see how 'hip' it is. Also doing Mulligans Grocery and having been there that's more my scene:)
