Fabric Softener section in Washing M/C filling with Water

Hi,

In the section that I put the fabric softener in the washing machine, its constantly filling with water after every wash. The washing machine is only a few months old. Any idea what it could be?

I don't see it clogged up anywhere as I've taken it out and emptied it a few times now.

I think this happened with ours some time ago but it is possible to remove the drawer from the Miele machines and wash them which helped with ours. Stupid ol' me had put the powder in that section by mistake when rushing :eek:

Take out the drawer and wash it out thoroughly then before replacing it clean the area where the drawer fits in with a damp cloth. Use a tooth pick to clean out the little holes in the roof of this section. I find that clears things - for some time anyway. Like anything it has to be kept clean.
 
It may be blocked further down. Take out the section and stick a bottle washer or similiar down the tube to shift any residue from powder/softener
