Extra work Query?

Hi Guys,
I’ve been asked to work in another department on a part-time basis as well as doing my normal duties, for no extra pay or anything like that. I don’t mind helping out, but I’m wondering should I get it all put down in writing etc and are there any other issues I should be aware of?
