extra work on top of current job

Hi,

I've recently developed a website for a university department, and want to invoice them for it.

I did this in my spare time outside of my current job.

Does anybody know how I should go about this, what to include on the invoice, what tax I'd have to pay, etc.?

you will have to pay tax at your higher rate & health contribution (plus prsi if income for year from non-paye sources of €3,174 plus). you can either do this through a tax return, or phone your tax office and get them to adjust your tax credits/srcop to take care of the tax liability.


on the invoice, just look at any bills you receive yourself (name, address, date, details of charges, total).
