Why not go for a set of (3) computer speakers that plug into your headphone socket.
Two small speakers on your desktop table and a bigger bass speaker which you place underneath near the floor.
Gives fantastic quality sound. I got a Sony set but there are loads around and a good set up would cost only about €50.
You'll get them in any computer shop or online.
