Friend of mine has recently purchased a solid concrete old house (think its cast in poured concrete). He's looking to explore how to best insulate this. I have heard some good things about external insulation (which might be helpful here as he's looking to smooth over a pebble dash finish) but he would also be keen to explore any internal insulation ideas.
I have a feeling going the inside route could be tricky as none of the wires are chased (presumably because the walls are solid and thick) and the rooms are on the small side so dry lining would compound this?
Obviously, he is price conscious so if anyone has an efficient cost effective solution to the above, it would be much appreciated!
