Exterior paint colour suggestion

Hi,
Trying to pick a paint colour for the outside of our new house, does anybody have any suggestions as to what colour would look nice on

a large house
cream windows
some sandstone areas

We are thinking of painting front door black and using black facia & soffit etc.

Any advice would be great.

If you put a picture of the house up, it would be easier for people to make some suggestions.

Have you looked at any similar houses in the area and liked any of the paint colours? Have you looked at colour charts? You should get some paint samples that you think you might like yourself and paint them on the side of the house, put them beside the sandstone and beside the cream windows, it will give you a better idea of how the colour blends in. The samples will be painted over when you decide on your new colour anyways.

Neighbours of ours recently got rich cream colour windows and I thought they looked fabulous, the outside of the house was white. Then they painted the house cream and the windows faded into nothing, they looked so much more impressive when the house was white.
