I bought a new charger on eBay but.... when it arrived there was no extension cable which I suppose I just assumed there would be. Any idea where I could pick one up in Dublin or get one on the web (must have 3 pin plug for use in Ireland).

Any help would be appreiciated.

Any two-prong 'kettle-lead' type power cable will work for that, I sometimes use one which was originally the power lead for a radio. The proper apple cable itself just has an extra piece of plastic to stop it falling out of the 'brick'.

Thanks Igy - hadn't thought of that myself :-(

Just wondering if it could do any damage to my son's MAC which could prove fatal for me!

Well take that advice with some care, but I can't see that there'd be any problem...
I'm assuming you lost the old charger + cable?
The connector on that end is a modified IEC C7, with an extra piece to keep the cable between the wall and the brick from coming loose.
You can buy the smal heads on ebay no problem, and the two-pronged 'kettle lead' works fine, if it's a little less secure than the original one

(ebay for the heads: )
