Explanatory Statement on my CCR

Can anyone advise me if they have had any positive outcomes from providing an explanatory statement on my CCR. I had my credit card revoked that is now paid in full , the bank have given me a statement to say the same. My CCR states that this account is not applicable however going forward for a mortgage I know this is a big black mark against me. Please no keyboard warriors you cant make me feel any worse as I am making myself feel ..
