Excel Query & some Excel Resources

If I have a whole colum whose contents is based on a VLOOKUP, and I now want to capture the values permantly, how can I replace the VLOOKUP function with the current value? I can use cut and paste as the two data sets are not in the same order.

insert a blank column beside the one you want to copy . copy the column and then edit-paste special - paste values into the newly inserted column. thel delete the vlookup column

EAMONN66, thanks very much, exactly what I was looking for. That type of answer is not easy to find on google, there are loads of examples/instructions as to how to use VLOOKUP in the usual way, but go left of center......
