The book you are referring to is most likely "The Accountant's Guide to advanced Excel" by James Fulford. It is published by Oak Tree Press in Dublin. (He also did another book without the "advanced" in the title)
I got a copy of this years back from a library in Dublin (cannot recall which one) but found it extremely good.
