European VAT

I'm selling services to an Irish company from France
I established my invoice and included VAT and sent it from France.
They are saying, because I have an european VAT number, I should not include VAT in my invoice.
Is this correct?

yes they are correct, but you need to record their vat number too, best to put it on the invoice, so the invoice should show your vat number and theirs
 
You really should also run queries like this by your accountant to be sure.
