European Health Insurance Card. Internet site down. How to get quickly?

Hi,
I'm trying to get the EHIC card (E1-11 that was) without having to trudge out to my health centre, which I can't do in work timeframe. It's in Crumlin and I work in D1.

The awful HSE website (www.ehic.ie) seems to be down for days. They spend so much on I.T and simple systems seem to be rubbish. So much for the guff over e-government.

Can I get one by phone? What's the quickest route?

EHIC site is working fine for me right now. Maybe you should check your own PC/network/internet connection before having a go at the HSE!

It was up today alright... down for two days. OK maybe I was being a bit dramatic!

It was up yesterday too.

If you don't get it on time you can use some form instead. There's a HSE office on the Christchurch end of Dame Street (think it's called Earl street or something up there), they'll stamp it for you in no time.
