Visited Newry for the first time last weekend! Felt a tad guilty about it but wanted to check it out anyway!
Lots of shops offering E1 to Stg1 at equal value. Huge difference in price if shopping in M&S, River Island, Monsoon when paying in sterling.
Sainsburys ask at the checkout which currency you would like to pay with and used the current exchange rate if you wanted to pay in Euro.
Is there any reason, when shopping here, that you can not opt to pay in sterling or Euro? Surely if it is an option in NI the same option should be available here? It may stem the flow somewhat to the North. LS.
