Euro note replacement

I was given a 5euro note in change the other day but I realised too late that half the note was missing. Will the bank replace the note for me?

The change was given to me very quickly, with the receipt only handed over when I had the change in my hand......has this happened to anyone ?

Many years ago a friend ended up with half a £10 note. The bank replaced it. It had to be sent away to the Central Bank. They checked whether anyone else has claimed for the other half. She was the first to present half this note so she got the money for it.

Contact your Bank. They will give you the required claim form for the note.
