Hi,
I have the local handyman painting my rental property. Its your bog standard size house ~950 sq.ft, 3 bedrooms. All internal walls & bathroom ceiling are been painted.

I've provided him with about 25 litres of paint, which he reckons will be enough.
He's not exactly flying through the job & we didnt agree a price nor an end date before he started.

Any ideas what would be a reasonable price for this work as he wants cash so I wont be able to put it against rental income.
Roughly what would professional painters charge?

Many thanks,
BP

why in gods name did you not agree a price. of course he is going to go slow now and try and charge you by the day.

sit down with him a.s.a.p and agree a price and tell him get a move on

I have other work being done in the house plus I'm not paying him by the hour so he's wasting his own time in the long run.

Does anyone have ballpark figures for such paint jobs, so I know what the current market rates are?

Recently got a quote of E1500 for a rental apt. Three bed, 1400 sq.ft. Just walls and possibly one ceiling not to include skirting or architrave but does include window boards. He will supply paint for this price..... Hope this helps, Think you should talk to your painter sooner rather than later to sort out price...
