I want to repair a rural driveway that has become too muddy to drive on in places and am wondering roughly how much I should expect to pay? The driveway has been neglected for the last 4 or 5 years and I now want to leave it in sufficiently good condition to get construction traffic up and down, I will look at doing a more permanent job later.

The drive is 200ft long (approx 60 metres), it used to be OK but now has some very muddy spots and is a bit overgrown. Could I just throw down a load of gravel? What kind?

Any suggestions welcome.

Provided base of driveway is good and you are only levelling the driveway I would get 2 loads of 804. this should be loads if you are only putting 2-3" on top of existing deiveway.
You should expect to pay no more than €12/tonne and with 2 loads (tipper truck) that should work out at approx €500.
