Depends where and the value. Nobody is going to sell a house for 500 Euro, but if a house is worth a lot 1% might be too much. Also need to add in VAT and advertising costs. Did you price around?
Had two EA's recently for house sale, and was quoted at 2%, 1.5%. Separate price (to be paid upfront) for advertising & such costs of €350 and €400. Cork county area.
Ask for between .75% and 1%. We paid 1% in South County Dublin. The smaller EA will do a deal and will often offer a better service than the big guys who really haven't lost their air of self importance.
