I sold a house some time ago, contracts signed etc. Purchaser has paid deposit only. Solicitor referred me to estate agent as purchasers solicitor has not replied to letters requesting closure. Estate Agent says he has nothing more to do with sale,will not contact purchaser and says he does not have a contact number for purchaser. I could not believe it. Is this normal practice, good enough? Estate Agent obviously still has deposit. I have spoken to solr and will issue letter of forfeiture to purchasers solicitor. Has Estate Agent fulfilled his minimum duties?
