Hi there,

So mum passed away in June. Unbeknownst to me, my younger sister appointed herself administrator and was paid out funds - no property - just a 10k bank balance.

There's a will. The solicitors have written to the executor - I've even contacted him myself but he's refusing to respond. Do I have to wait the 12 months before having a citation issued under the circumstances? Sis essentially administered estate to herself.

How did she gain access to the money ? if she withdrew the money from your mother's bank account you should contact the bank as a start.
