hi im currently looking for inset stove and found these that seems to meet our requirements, esse 350 gs and charnwood slx 45

wondering if anyone here has nay experience with this stove. our room is 3.7 x5.4 x2.57 metres and wondering would this be enough to heat the room even on a really cold night ( i used the calculator and it says i need around 3.6kw) we went on different fireplace shops and most of them are telling us that the freestanding stove is more efficient but the cost pipes and flashings it's becoming too expensive for us and we don't want it sticking out the chimney as the chimney alone is already around 1 meter wide

would appreciate any advice on this

thanks and regards

We have a Charnwood inset stove (solid fuel central heating model) for about 17 years and have found it very efficient. We had to get some new bits for it during the summer and the after sales service was just A1 even though our model is now obselete they still carry the spare parts. A friend was getting one in the last eighteen months and found that Donegal Heating and plumbing had by far the best deals. Good luck with your search.
