ESB - New house ...

Guys,
Just finished building new detached house in urban area ... All new services happen to be running within about 8 ft from my ESB meter box ... These new services are for new development adjacent to my site ... The lads laying these cables left a duct (with a pull thru) running from the nearest junction right up to my meter box ... All the house wiring has been certified ... All that needs to be done is install a meter and set up an a/c ... Would this be correct or would I have to go thru all the paperwork, fees and most important, the waiting game !!!

You will have to go through all the paperwork, fees and the wait.
You should have applied for a supply at the start of the build.
You can download the application form from the ESB Networks website
and send it off to Athlone with an OS map of the area and a site plan.
They will give you a quote, which you will pay, then wait.
Officially it's 12 weeks, in practice more like 20 weeks.
There's no way round it, I'm sorry to say.
