I was going about chaining electricity supplier and I went to check the smart meter and there is nothing displaying so I can't provide a current reading to the new supplier. I pressed a blue button on it to see if it would display a reading but nothing. I have contacted ESB Networks and I presume that they will have to install a replacement meter. Is this a regular occurrence?
If your smart meter isn't displaying anything then is it possible that your supplier isn't getting readings either, in which case you're probably being issued with estimated bills? Check you latest bill!
