Hi,

Does anyone know if we have an equivalent under Irish law to the UK's Section 75 Financial Services Act 1974 (basically it enshrined into law the credit card's responsibility if something goes wrong with a purchase?

If you pay for something costing between GBP100 and GBP30K and you use your credit card to pay, then the card issuer is equally liable if something goes wrong.

I know we have Chargeback but that isn't legally enforceable as far as I am aware.

Anyone?

Im not sure but there is a description of the provisions of UK's section 75 here: .

Pay for something costing between £100 and £30,000 on a credit card and the card issuer's equally liable if something goes wrong.
