Enniskerry to Lucan commute

Toying with a move to Enniskerry at the moment and wondering what my commute would be like from Enniskerry to Lucan. DH is working in Donnybrook so also wondering what his commute would be like.
Anyone any thoughts on these commutes?
Also curious about village life in general- any estates, roads that are not so nice?
One area we've seen a few properties in is Kilmolin but hard to tell how far this is from Enniskerry village. Would like to be able to walk to the pub/shops.
I was also curious what the village was like during the winter? Roads very bad?

The 44 bus goes from Enniskerry to town via Ranelagh so Donnybrook is not too bad but it goes via Dundrum so traffic could be an issue. Two busses to Lucan is the 44 to Hawkins street and the other from outside Pearse st police station. Be some commute though. Only other way is bus to Bray and catch the dart. The drive to Lucan via M50 would be your best/only real option.
