Engineer/surveyor required for apartment

Hi there,

I need an engineer/surveyor to have a look at an apartment I've been offered.
Can the readers suggest a name and rate of a qualified engineer?

Please note that this is not a valuation, this is to check structural issues for example.

Hi Mancino

I used Thornton Chartered Surveyors. Ph 01-8850400
They are based in Blanchardstown but my hse was on sthside and they did it for me -they have nationwide offices or something. I think the guy's name was patrick.

I dont have exact cost to hand but I think it aprx€130

They have a website also you could check out.

Thanks Nuttbud, a friend finally went with me and have a look a the place.
It would be good of the viewings/snagging/etc. could be arranged on the weekends, it is a bit difficult to ask friends to take time off several times for one. On the other hand, the state agents are being paid, so they could attend on weekends.
