Enduring Power of Attorney

My aunt is in a nursing home full time gets fail deal, her house has be unoccupied now for 4 years. Can I apply for the Vacant property grant as I have enduring power of attorney. The house is an old cottage and had a water leak shortly after she left so in a pretty bad state.

You must own the property or be in the process of purchasing it in order to apply.

It would make little sense to apply in your aunt's name as she's unlikely to satisfy the conditions of living there or renting it out for the full 10 year period to avoid claw-back.
