Endorsement on Car Licence - also put on Bike Licence?

Does anyone know if this is right? My brother has his car drivers licence endorsed, recently he applied for a provisional motorbike licence, when he went to collect it, it was written on the back 'licence endorsed' (or something similiar).

If your car licence is endorsed is this carried over to all your other licences?

I thought there was only a driving licence, which contains a list of what you are allowed to drive, I don't think a bike licence is seperate??

This sounds correct.

It wouldn't be reasonable to have an endorsement on one license and not on another. The roads are the roads.

I've got a full car licence and a provisional bike licence (2 documents) but the licence numbers are the same. This probably explains the transfer of the endorsement from one to the other.
