I'm emegrating to Australia in December and am wondering if I could claim any tax back. Am a PAYE worker and have paid tax all year. Thanks in advance.
You can apply for a refund of tax paid by supplying the following details to your local tax office: - a completed claim form P50 (available from [broken link removed]) - your P45 (available from your employer) - a completed return of income form 11;
Send the above along with a statement to the effect that you are going to live abroad permanently or in such circumstances that you will not be resident in Ireland for at least the following tax year.

for a paye worker a form 12 is the most you'll need (form 11 is for self employed). btw, if you leave your job in december you won't get much tax back as you will have used most of the year's credits up (but every little helps)
