Emailing revenue

I sent an email to the dublinsouthcity@revenue.ie address on Wednesday regarding queries on rental income. Nobody has even yet acknowledged my queries, let alone replied to them. Does anyone know if revenue respond to email requests for information, and if they do, approximately how long does it take?

I have dealings with cork north west and they take between 1-2 days to contact you. The first contact you will get will be a reply or phone call back from them. There is no auto email sent out by them to acknowledge your request.

If your not getting a response via email then best call them.I've always found them very easy to talk to.

Thanks Savvy,

Will give it another few days. I do deal with revenue a lot, but not with that particular district.

If you know who you are dealing with in Revenue, you are better going to them first. The Revenue would not be pushed about the emailing aspect I would jave thought, given that cleeks like 'Liam J Irwin' dont respond to letters. Why would email make a difference?

I used the email to notify revenue of change of address and it took them two weeks to reply. They then told me that I could use email to change the address but it would take six weeks to process.

Just checked email and no reply yet. Have sent another copy of the email and will give it 2 days before I ring them.

In the time it would have took to write that couldn't they have just updated the database and replied "done".
