Email icon missing at top of page

Hi,
i have windows 98 and dial up which can be slow, I had my yahoo email symbol at top of home page so could see at a glance when I had email but it is no longer there. I now have to go to Yahoo page etc to check email, is there a simple way to get it back?

You may have had the Yahoo toolbar installed. To get a fresh install, just search for 'Yahoo Toolbar' on Yahoo.com.

hi I did that but as soon as I tried to open my home page or mail I got the message "an internal error has occured" and page had to be closed down so I have uninstalled it again.
