Email Error 0*800ccc79

Hi there I get this error when trying to send mails from my UTV mail account. It's basically stating that the SMTP server hasn't been configured to recognise my request to send mails. Mails arrive without a bother which means that the account is properly set up.

Any advice...?

I have seen this error before, if your SMTP (outgoing mail server) is mail.utvinternet.com then it will only work once you use UTV as your isp. Is it a dialup connection.?

I have an o2 account which only sends mail through an ATT global dialler

After posting my query I dug around the UTV internet site and found exactly what you have just said. If you don't use UTV as your ISP then you need to find another SMTP server. Think I'll just use eircom's mail2.eircom.net. Thanks a mill for the speedy advice.
