Sometimes, the estimates remain on the account. The total consumption on your bill will still be accurate, as actual reads resumed the following day

Depends on your supplier. Flogas give the Day, Night and Peak meter readings.They are not giving the meter totals, just the total units used in the billing period.
The meter for each period runs separately so the usage will still be correct.With Smart Tarriffs it's not just the total units used, the time of day they were used is important as the rates are different.
