electrical sockets

i'm confused the english regs say to mount 13 a sockets at 450mm above floor level and switches below 1200mm,the irish regs say switches below 1200 mm but nothing about the height of 13 a sockets.Can any one clear this up for me as i live in ireland and am doing a bit of diy in the house.

I would assume that these measurements are to take account of people in wheelchairs.

Switches 900-1200 mm, sockets no lower than 100mm, but I'd just put them the same height as the ones already in the house.
