Electric Storage Heating

Hi

I am buying an apt with electric storage heating. Electric is also used to heating the water. I am worried that this will be expensive. I am also worried as this type of heating normally gets a bad press.

Has anyone any experience of this type of heating system and how much it costs

generally they are not too bad on electric as they are on at night and then release heat gradually during the day. Not as good/clean/cheap as gas but they are certainly not the worst.
