Electric oven power usage

What would the typical cost for running a domestic electric oven for one hour?
The oven I was looking at is 90KWH, I not sure under what conditions this figures are calculated. This to me means the oven is 90KW however it is difficult to calculate as the oven will not be running at full power for the hour as it will turn of when the temperature is reached and remain off until the temperature would drop. Anyone have any idea how to calculate this or anyone ever work it out from their meter reading???

I thought that ovens and other domestic applicances were now labelled to indicate their average (?) running costs per hour? For example see .

90KW is way off the mark for a domestic oven, 2-3KW would be typical.

Cost per hour depends on oven capacity and temperature of cooking.

I agree 90KW is wrong. 2-3 KW sounds right.

The standard oven wall switch is about 30 Amps I think so the biggest possible oven you could run would be 5 - 6 KW and Ithink thats very high.
