If youve never played before and are looking for something cheap, may I recommend you get a package of a cheap guitar and amp from your local friendly music shop. You can normally get something from around 120-130e upwards. AFAIK, Argos do a package. You also have a comeback if theres any technical difficulties buying this way.
If you take to it and want to go further, then spend a few quid on something decent, youll also be more aware of what youre looking for that way and be more aware of what to fix if theres a problem (which does occur when buying SH guitars).

This is no reflection on PMs les paul copy.
