Elan Share repurchase Tender offer -sell or don't sell

Hello, i have a small number of shares in Elan for about 10 years now, can someone explain to me more about the current Elan share repurchase tender i got in the post?, and is it better to wait and see what happens to Elans share price (which seems to be rising since the offer) or should i cut my losses ( which there would be since i bought at a higher price) and sell the shares?

any advice?

I currently dont need the money ( which is not much anyway), and maybe i should just keep them for a rainy day?

I would also like someone to explain the pros and cons of this. I find it difficult to understand the literature sent by the company, and the new shares-prothena- we received I dont understand at all
