Has anyone ever been?

I'm relocating next month ( for a year) with work.

Just wondering about social scene, things to do etc.

Never been to Edmonton, believe its nice, have been to Banff and Lake Louise etc etc, forget here at your peril, would recommend Jasper also, meant to be fantastic.
