My android phone has echo when people ring me, meaning they can hear echo, it's ok on my side. Any suggestions please

Also, when was it previously working ok without any echo, if ever? If it was then did anything change in the meantime? E.g. phone software update, phone settings changes, change of network provider, etc.? Can you try your SIM in another phone handset just to see if the problem persists there? (I doubt that the SIM is the issue but no harm in eliminating it was a potential issue). Does the problem happen if you use a headset (wired or Bluetooth) instead of the phone's own mic/speaker? Does it happen when you're on speaker phone?

As ever, some systematic process of elimination may help to identify the root cause...

Do you sometimes use Bluetooth speakers ? I find his happens when I don't switch off Bluetooth on my phone sometimes and out of range. Also may happen when speakers are still on but phone has Bluetooth off.

Thank you for your replies. It's a Samsung 21 . I will try tornjnh off Bluetooth, I will also try to change sim card to my older phone.

You didn't address the several other questions that I asked in an attempt to clarify the issue.

S21 Echo Issues

My daughter's voice mail greeting has a weird "bottom of a well" effect. I know her phone is Android but don't know what make/model she uses. I was planning to visit in Galway this weekend, but despite having water & electricity back, they have no internet, phone service or telly. 21st century Ireland.

I didn't answer all the questions as I am not very "techie" and find it difficult to understand all the solutions possible. I do appreciate all your suggestions and I am working through them . Regards
