EBS Mortgage - 'Not doing new business'

Hello,

I was checking on the variable rate on the key posts and Brendan has posted the EBS RATE IS THEORICALLY as they are not doing new business. I have been approved in principle by them and hoping to go ahead with mortgage and just worried that they wont actually give me the mortgage when time comes
 
With AIB, but they are been very strict, want us to use our savings first(including breaking a year fixed deposit account) which ESB are not. And also ESB WILL let us drawn down this year for a build against value of land so we can avail of TRS. AIB wont entertain any drawndown this year
