I closed down my EBS family savings account to avail of the 4% interest on it and all I got back on my investment was €194...this does not sound right to me!
the account ended up having 13k in it. it was reaching the 1yr mark on March 2nd so I rang EBS on 1st to ask to close the account and transfer money to my own account. was told could only do this in local branch as they would have to issue a cheque and I could do it within following 10 days. So I went to local branch yesterday, got my cheque and was shocked i only got €194 of interest credited. is this right?
