ebs branch cashless

Ive just discovered that the ebs in maynooth is a cashless branch, there is nothing on their web page to state this,so if you have to do a cash transaction avoid maynooth.

You can do everything from their website/ elec banking. I never go to the EBS branch any more. The long covid queues outside when they only let 2 people in at a time was the end of going to the branch for me.

Wasn't it like this since it opened? It was marketed as a sales office esp mortgages

I guess it's like the AIB one in SuperValu Lucan. They sell mortgages but there are ATMs there where you can withdraw or lodge cash.

Machines can do that and are far better imo.

Plenty of reasons to visit a cashless bank - mortgages, loans, insurance, advice, account queries, electronic transfer.

Kbc hubs are cashless. They facilitate lodgements by post - if necessary .. not easy. But how often does one has physical cash these days ?

the reason for going to the ebs was to get cash for an elderly person who has no mobility and needs to pay people cash, there is a special ebs form that is used

Open a moneymanager account at the EBS....and get an ATM card.

I have always wondered why that branch was opened, I rarely see anyone in there .
I thought EBS were part of AIB and there's a branch a hundred yards further down the pavement. Puzzling.

If I was a guessing sceptical man, which I am , that whole building became a white elephant, Nama took it back and just got someone to lease it? I looked into leasing the space but never got a reply from anyone.
