Ebay Seller Charges

Does anyone have any experience of selling on ebay?

Struggling to understand the charges. I understand the insertion fee part, it's the % on the various values.

For something over €150, this is how it works:

150.00 and over
5.25% of the initial €44.99 (€ 2.36), plus 3.25% of the initial €45.00 to €149.99 (€ 26.16), plus 1.75% of the remaining closing value balance (Closing value - €150.00)


But, how do they get to €26.16 on the €45 to €149.99 range??

I have been using Ebay for about 6 years now and have 510 transactions, but I believe that the charges are quite high.

First they charge you to insert, and charge you extra for setting either a reserve price or a BUY IT NOW.

And if you are lucky enough to actually sell your item (52% of items listed DON'T sell) and receive payment through PayPal (which eBay own) then they charge you approx 4%ish of the final price in charges again.
