ebay sale - funds not in paypal a/c

I sold something on ebay yesterday & got a notificatuion saying I had been sent funds, but no sign of funds in the paypal a/c. Is there a delay between a person paying & the funds hitting your paypal account?

First time seller, so I am unfamiliar with the selling side of ebay.

It may be a scammer and a fake notification? see [broken link removed]. As the guide says, wait until the funds are actually in the account.

Generally paypal payments appear immediately in your account. Perhaps the buyer intends to pay by another method however. Contact the buyer to see what happened.

Sign in to paypal.com and look down the page, you should see the details of the payment. Somewhere along there (more to the right) it will give an option between "Accept" or "Decline".

Assuming you gave the user the correct email address to send the money (?) it will tranfer the funds immediately (after clicking "accept").
